ERacer Aircraft
Welcome to the 2022 ERacer Flying Page as we go into our 10th year of flying our beautiful ERacer Aircraft!!!
January - February 2022
My Parents and family came out to Georgia for a visit. The weather allowed for some beautiful flying around Georgia. Next month I will do the annual condition Inspection and get the plane ready for the Bahamas
March 2022
It was time for the annual condition inspection as I prepped the airplane for the Bahama Bash fly-out trip with the other canards. The weather was a bit nicer so I was also able to get in some local flying.
April 2022
April was a fun month and one I look forward to each year. The Bahama Bash trip had 9 canards this year as well as 2 island destinations and a lot of serious crosswinds which everyone handled with no issues. It was a great week of flying and Fellowship with our friends. Cant wait until we do it again next year. Anyone is welcome to come along!
May - June 2022
We had quite a bit of rain in May and June but I was able to get up a bit. I was also able to pick up my daughter in North Georgia and bring her home for a Fathers day celebration.
July- Aug 2022
I got some local area flying done in July and August was our 10th annual ERacer bbq..."Canards Over Georgia".
We had 6 canards on display and we fed 20-30 people some good bbq. The weather posed some problems in the morning but the day turned out great.
Sep - Oct 2022
September was an exciting month as I flew solo out to Kanab, Utah for the 2022 Kanab Canard Fly-in. It was a great weekend getting to see friends and I was able to help out as the Air Boss for the Timed event. We also took one morning to fly some multi ship formation and I took a local real estate agent up for a ride through Bryce Canyon. There were over 50 canards in attendance and as usual, the people of Kanab were incredible as they gave us such great support. October was spent working and a bit of local flying.
Nov -Dec , 2022
In November we did a lot of travelling for Thanksgiving. Unfortunately, It was not in the ERacer due to bad winter weather. The aircraft then developed a manifold intake leak accompanied with some erratic CHT readings. I am now replacing the manifold seals with SDS flanges and inspecting the flow divider and injectors. So the year will end while the plane is down for repairs.
