I get a lot of questions about the cost of the ERacer...So here is my opinion on the matter. Estimated cost of the ERacer basic airframe is $30,000.  This estimate could be higher but probably not lower given the varied parts and tools needed to complete a homebuilt aircraft.  Engine cost can vary from $10 - $50,000 depending on what type of engine you want to install.  My ERacer utilizes a  (zero-time) rebuilt Lycoming fuel injected     IO-360 engine that cost me about $25,000 in 2012. To me that puts the 2014 average cost of an average ERacer at around $60,000
